LATIN FUSION TURKEY BURGERS

A mixture of Italian and Mexican flavors make this turkey burger delicious.

INGREDIENTS AND RECIPES

19.2 oz package 93/7 lean ground turkey
2 tablespoon shredded Parmesan
2 tablespoon bread crumbs
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Salt and pepper
1 cup sliced red, yellow and green peppers (or 1 cup chopped bell peppers)
1 avocado
4 slices Tuscan-style bread sliced

Method:

Mix the turkey, Parmesan, bread crumbs, hot sauce, salt, pepper and chili powder together and form into 4 patties.

Meanwhile, peel the avocado and salt and pepper it to make a spread.

Prepare grill.

Grill burgers on an oiled rack set 5 to 6 inches over glowing coals 6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over high heat. Add the pepper strips, and sauté for 4-5 minutes, or until the peppers begin to soften.

To assemble, place a slice of toasted bread on four plates. Top each with a turkey burger then divide the peppers among them. Put a big dollop of avocado spread on each sandwich and top with the other half slice of bread.
