Slash, lead guitarist for world famous rock band, Guns ‘N’ Roses, born Saul Hudson, in London, England to an African American costume designer mother, whose clients included Ringo Starr, John Lennon and David Bowie; and an English father, an artist who created album covers for musicians such as Neil Young and Joni Mitchell.

When Slash was 11 he moved with his mother to Los Angeles to pursue her career, leaving his father behind in England, although he eventually joined them in L.A. years later. When he was 15 he got his first guitar. He practiced for long hours and over the years got in touch with people to jam with. Through these contacts he met Axl Rose and found other musicians to form the Guns N' Roses band in 1986. Soon enough they were known across the globe as the new rock n' roll sensation. Slash also worked with artists like Michael Jackson on the Dangerous album. Slash himself has earned his title as one of the greatest rock n' roll guitar players in history.

Slash met his second wife Perla Ferrar in 1992, backstage at a Guns N' Roses concert in Las Vegas. They married on October 15, 2001 in Hawaii. Slash and Perla have two children, London Emilio and Cash Anthony, born in 2002 and 2004 in Los Angeles. In August 2010, Slash filed for divorce from Ferrar, but the couple reconciled two months later.
